Banking Comes to Godwin
Did you know Godwin Middle School has reopened its very own financial branch? The Godwin Money Makers Branch is now open for deposits during all lunch shifts. Students, parents, and teachers can open a savings account, make deposits and save for the future right here at school. This Branch is student-run by selected volunteers and supervised by parents. Students only need $5.00, their social security number and a copy of their school I.D. to open an account
The Branch is a partnership between Godwin Middle School and Belvoir Federal Credit Union. Belvoir Federal Credit Union is a non-profit financial institution on a mission to provide the foundation for the financial success of even their youngest members. For further information or to volunteer contact the Branch sponsor, Mrs. Hawkins, at hawkinsd@pwcs.edu.
The following IB students are currently working at the Money  Makers Branch: Elisha Blake, Christina Childs, Jeremiah Curry, Staten Longo, Justin Matias and Eveonna Ruffner.
If you want to find out more about the Money Makers Branch, talk to Mrs. Hawkins about joining the Math Club. It meets every Wednesday after school.
